Solaris Urbino Low Entry

Characteristic

The Solaris Urbino LE combines the advantages of a low floor front section with those of a conventional rear. The low floor at the front and centre of the bus ensures easy access for passengers. The high floor in the rear part allows less complicated drive train components to be mounted. The Solaris Urbino LE is fitted with modern engines meeting the strictest exhaust emissions standards. Models available are the Alpino 8.9 LE, Urbino 12 LE and Urbino 15 LE.

The Urbino 12 LE and Urbino 15 LE are also available in a version powered with compressed natural gas. The Alpino 8.9 LE has a length of 8.9 metres and a width of 2.4 metres, making it the smallest of the Solaris Low Entry buses. It has been designed to offer large passenger capacity even on routes where winding roads or narrow streets make small buses necessary.

The Solaris Urbino 12 LE CNG and Urbino 15 LE CNG are powered by compressed natural gas. The gas-powered engine enables the reduction of harmful substances and emissions by up to 85 %, and in the case of particulate matter by almost 100 % in relation to conventional diesel engines. The Urbino 12 LE CNG meets the most demanding environmental standards.

The Solaris Urbino Low Entry is an ideal solution for suburban and intercity routes. The design of the bus and its high quality interior ensure comfort also over longer distances.
